Philips Upstream Senior Upstream Portfolio Marketing Manager - Acute Care in Cambridge, Massachusetts

In this role, you have the opportunity to be part of the Portfolio Marketing team in Connected Care. Portfolio Marketing develops a fact-based "Where to Play" and "How to Win" strategy using deep customer insights around unmet needs, customer journeys, patient care pathways and desired clinical outcomes. Portfolio Marketing Managers are ultimately responsible for an integrated value proposition (IVP) built on the breadth and depth of Philips technology and services. These IVPs drive alignment, investment, and execution across business categories to deliver holistic offers in alignment with the Cluster strategic plan.

You are responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Identifying new opportunity areas where Philips can play, based on analysis of target audience needs, competitor insights, and market, clinical, and technological trends

  • Working with Markets, Categories, Insights & Analytics, and other functions to conduct ability to win and cost to win analyses, driving alignment around success criteria (requirements) and ‘what must be true’ (strategic enablers) to deliver on unmet customer needs

  • Leading the Integrated Value Proposition (IVP) process to facilitate transfer of inputs to the businesses (including requirements for new products, propositions, platforms, claims, and capability requirements)

  • Setting up and maintaining product/solution/services roadmaps that align investments and critical milestones across innovation, clinical, business, and markets

  • Creating relevant KPIs and monitoring performance of the integrated value propositions against targets

  • Defining and driving execution of performance improvements plans with the business (category leaders, product managers, business development managers) and markets

You are part of Portfolio Marketing team in Connected Care

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum undergraduate degree and 5+ years of related professional experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare technology company in marketing or product management roles

  • Proven track record developing and executing integrated product, service, and solution roadmaps based on markets trends and customer unmet needs

  • Ability to build and nurture effective relationships within the matrix by developing strong cooperation with peers within the market, business, and functions

  • Bringing people together and aligning around common goals; leverages the power of Philips independent from organizational structures and reporting lines

  • Driven by a strong external focus with ability to develop relationships with key customers and KOLs

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, including being able to find solutions to difficult, ambiguous, or complex issues
