Job Description:

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Wafer Technician to join their dynamic team. This role involves critical operations in wafer fabrication, packaging, and assembly, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. Under the guidance of senior technical personnel, the Wafer Technician will engage in various processes essential to semiconductor manufacturing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Perform wafer fabrication, packaging, and assembly operations, including but not limited to:

  • Photolithography

  • Electroplating

  • Chemical analysis

  • Metal deposition

  • Oxidation

  • Reactive-Ion Etching (RIE)

  • Deep Reactive Ion Etching (DRIE)

  • Plasma-Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD)

  • Wet etching

  • Pick and place

  • Laser drilling

  • Encapsulation

  • Other processes as required, following detailed procedures under close supervision.

  • Conduct cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of fabrication equipment, utilizing skilled knowledge with limited supervision.

  • Execute production recipes for deliverable hardware with adequate training and supervision, involving moderately complex manual skills and the operation of moderately complex automated or semi-automated equipment.

  • Document all work consistently with work unit policy, utilizing handwritten methods, and common computer software (i.e., MS Windows, MS Word, and MS Excel).

  • Participate in focused training opportunities to progress into higher skilled positions as determined by your supervisor.

  • Undertake other temporary assignments as directed by your supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of applicable technical education plus 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of applicable experience, meet the minimum requirement.

  • Experience handling sensitive electronic components is highly desirable.

  • Candidates must be a United States Citizen.

  • Due to the nature of the work, an active Secret government security clearance is required.
