Job Summary

SUMMARY

As a member of the Business Implementation team within the Operations Implementation and Application Management department (OIAM), the business analyst provides leadership and support to staff within the THP MP Membership Operations department, consistently overseeing routine deliverable's independently, and identifying and escalating issues appropriately.

The individual must consistently demonstrate personal resiliency in times of change and demonstrate the ability to champion business processes and decisions. This individual will also organize and lead effective meetings and work sessions, initiate collaboration within and outside the OIAM department, supporting the work efforts of other departments.

The business analyst supports the development of initiatives and, with the support of their manager, owns the responsibility for executing these initiatives in a timely and consistent manner.

Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES – what you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with Manager to prioritize work assignments to meet departmental deliverables and development goals.

  • Identify opportunities for process re-engineering; make proposals and recommendations for process improvement

  • Serve as a System Admin to the Market Prominence (MP) system

  • Admin to various Vendor sites: Clarity, Change Healthcare, etc.

  • Maintain and Update Configuration, Workflows, Queues, and Reporting within MP using the Internal Support Model guidance for documentation and system updates

  • Development of Queries and Reporting utilizing MS Access, SQL, Excel, etc.

  • Development of Business Requirement documents for database and application changes, including business process change

  • Support the UAT team with Testing activities, including development of use case documentation, with departmental SMEs as needed

  • Perform in-depth user acceptance testing within the department

  • Act as liaison with Information Systems on technical issues

  • Collaborate with the Enrollment System Vendor throughout the project life cycle for Requirements documentation, SDD and FDD review and approval, and User Acceptance Testing through Sign-off

  • Facilitate the timely resolution of production-related IS issues, as well as issues relating to MP system, including appropriate documentation of the issues/resolution.

  • Analyze files and reports (from various sources), raise questions, research; translate data into information

  • Serve as escalation point for staff, specifically focusing on Testing and Production Support issues

  • Facilitate the dissemination of issue and resolution information to impacted staff and departments

  • Work on project teams and/or Lead work-groups to produce timely and accurate deliverable's.

  • Keep others informed

  • Provide performance and project updates to Manager

  • Keep staff up to date on business objectives, plans, and production support resolution

  • Attend department, Senior Products, and THP meetings

  • Prepare and present information at meetings as needed

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

  • Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred

EXPERIENCE (minimum years required) :

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a related business environment.

  • Experience in a data management and/or analytic environment with the ability to gather, document, test and implement complex business requirements

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Significant MS Office experience (intermediate/advanced level)

  • Strong SQL query writing experience required

  • MS Access or other relational database experience strongly preferred

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Solid/effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with Agile and/or SAFe framework and methodologies

  • Demonstrated commitment, flexibility, and resiliency in times of business and organizational change

  • Demonstrated professional demeanor at all times

  • Champion of collaboration across various departments and work cooperatively as a team member.

  • Provide/accept constructive criticism for improvement, including peer, direct report, and manager feedback for performance management
