Robert Half Customer Service Specialist in Canton, Massachusetts

Description

We are searching for a methodical and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist in Canton, Massachusetts, United States. In this role, you will be pivotal in maintaining customer satisfaction by managing customer accounts, processing orders, and responding to customer inquiries. This role is a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer orders through various platforms including manual, web-based, and electronic systems.

• Manage customer databases, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accessible.

• Work closely with the sales management team to provide accurate customer information to aid in decision making.

• Understand and manage customer routing requirements to ensure efficient service.

• Monitor customer ship dates and inventory availability, liaising with the shipping department to guarantee complete and timely deliveries.

• Obtain and verify freight quotes, ensuring they align with the order details.

• Provide exceptional customer support, resolving customer inquiries promptly.

• Utilize various computer programs to manage customer accounts and process orders.

• Answer inbound calls and assist customers, ensuring their needs are met and enhancing overall customer satisfaction.

Requirements • Proficiency in computer programs relevant to customer service and support

• Experience in answering inbound calls in a professional and timely manner

• Ability to assist customers with a variety of inquiries and issues

• Prior experience in a customer support role

• Excellent customer service skills, including active listening, empathy, problem-solving, and communication

• Ability to maintain a positive and patient demeanor in challenging customer interactions

• Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to continuously improve and learn new customer service techniques and strategies

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information responsibly.
