The Bank of Canton Head Teller & Customer Service Rep. in Canton, Massachusetts

Under the general supervision of the Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager, performs a wide variety of clerical and administrative duties to provide assistance to customers in accessing the bank\'s various services and products, in conformance with established bank policies and procedures. It is management\'s understanding that each retail office services a unique customer base and that expectations may vary based upon area demographics, level of oversight, community resources, level of deposits, and overall business volume. Accountabilities/Responsibilities: 1. Represents the bank in a professional, courteous manner to all customers, associates, vendors, and the public. Assists the bank in meeting its goals of sales and service by providing the highest level of customer service, through an ongoing commitment to improvement in knowledge, productivity and job efficiency. 2. Ensures that established policies and procedures are followed. Authorizes transaction overrides, approves check encashment up to designated amounts and signs bank checks. Ensures that teller, vault(s) and branch cash are at proper levels. Prepares cash orders, suggesting amounts of each denomination. Bags and tags excess coin for shipment. Maintains supply of, money orders, and bank checks. Audits cash and supplies of negotiable instruments under dual control. Balances and supplies ATM with cash. Oversees responsibility for night deposit. 3. Provides exceptional service to all customers. Maintains current knowledge of all bank products and services. Assists in the delivery of all product offerings to customers; provides advice and counsel and general information to assist the customer in the appropriate product/service selection. Processes all documentation to maintain accurate files and records. 4. Sells and cross-sells all bank products. Participates in branch promotions and contributes towards branch product and service origination goals. Provides customers with investment option information, makes referrals to Investment Specialists and assists in coordination of appointments. 5. Assists customers with opening of all types of accounts. Assists customers with all other routine account servicing functions and sales of negotiable items. Processes wire transfers, stop payments, check orders, etc. 6. Assists customers with resolution of transaction issues regarding their accounts. May refer customer to superior or other bank department as required. 7. Ensures that the branch balances at close of day. May conduct branch proof, ensuring accuracy and presentation of the workday results in accordance with established procedures. 8. Performs a variety of administrative duties i.e.; prepares note and disburses check for passbook loans; performs file maintenance on computer; responds to general mail requests for verification of account funds; prepares and sends correspondence to customers and prospects to assist them and to facilitate banking processes. 9. Attends and participates in community and civic events as necessary, including Chamber of Commerce networking opportunities, and civic and business group affiliations. 10. Oversees the administration of the teller line and provides exceptional service to all customers. Maintains current knowledge of all bank products and services. Ensures appropriate service is provided to all customers through tellers. 11. Contributes to the attainment of branch product and service goals through monitoring of teller\'s cross sales and referral activity. Sells and cross-sells all bank products. Participates in branch promotions and contributes towards branch product and service origination goals.
