SUMMARY: Charlton Oil and Propane in Charlton is seeking to fill a full-time experienced year round permanent LEAD SERVICE TECHNICIAN position for first shift, 40 hours/wk., Mon.-Fri., 8 hour shifts, wage \$35-40/hr. who will work alongside a department of 6 technicians and a master plumber. This Lead Service Technician will set the pace and standard of the service team for productivity, customer satisfaction, and best practices and will be the go-to-knowledge expert for troubleshooting, problematic service calls, and challenging installations. DUTIES: Equipment Service and Installations: - Install, assess, troubleshoot, maintain and repair residential oil and propane gas heating equipment and appliances - Inspect oil and propane tanks for proper installation and code compliance - Assist with new HVAC and propane gas appliance installations - Identify recommended work, maintenance and opportunities for upgrades - Assist with troubleshooting, resolving problematic service calls, and challenging installations - Help train and guide other service technicians - Serve in the regular on-call rotation and provide additional coverage for escalations Customer Service: - Interact with customers while performing service at their home or place of business - Respond to service call backs and instill confidence in customers on service resolutions - Communicate with service manager on repeat service issues or areas of improvement REQUIREMENTS: \ Service experience with residential or commercial oil and gas equipment \ Knowledge of a wide variety of equipment and product brands \ Highly organized and efficient \ Good customer service and communication abilities \ Valid Driver License and ability to travel as needed \ Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments \ Mass Oil Burner Technician Certification \ Able to pass CORI check
