SUMMARY: Charlton Oil and Propane in Charlton is seeking to fill a full-time experienced year round permanent SERVICE MANAGER to oversee a department of 6 technicians and a master plumber; wage \$40-50/hr., first shift, Mon.-Fri., 40 hrs.wk. The Service Manager will ensure efficient service operations, customer satisfaction, and mentoring the team of service technicians and office staff. This role requires leadership, good communication, and a hands-on understanding of oil and propane operations. DUTIES: Service Operations Management: o Oversee daily operations of the service department, ensuring timely and efficient dispatching and job completion o Monitor and mentor service technicians. Review and approve weekly time cards o Coordinate with other departments for permitting, service scheduling and billing o Serve in on-call rotation as needed and be available for service technician support Customer Service: o Address and resolve customer complaints and service issues o Maintain strong relationships with customers and partners in our community o Communicate with office staff to coordinate service work and customer expectations o Provide quotations for new installations, major repairs and equipment upgrades Safety and Compliance: o Ensure service activities comply with regulations and safety standards o Conduct safety training and inspections to maintain a safe working environment o Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and standards, implementing necessary changes to maintain compliance REQUIREMENTS: \ Experience managing a team of employees \ Strong communication and customer service abilities \ Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards \ Strong organizational and problem-solving skills \ Computer skills (word, excel), ability to use phone and tablet apps \ Valid Driver License and ability to travel as needed \ Mass Oil Burner Technician Certification \ Relevant certifications and training in the oil and propane industry are a plus \ Able to pass CORI check
