We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, detail-oriented team player to join our Team as a Development Admin. WHAT WE DO The Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen?s Alliance is a nationally recognized leader in marine conversation and fisheries policy. We are a dynamic and outcome-oriented group of commercial fishermen working for healthy oceans and profitable small-boat fisheries. We are located in a renovated Captain?s house, with 8 full-time staff members, meeting space onsite, and a welcoming layout that supports hosting events. We are a dog friendly office. OVERVIEW The Development Admin is responsible for all administrative aspects of development activities, providing direct support to the Director of Development. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: donor database management, gift processing, database queries, and stewardship communications. Secondary responsibilities include but are not limited to providing administrative support to the Director of Development for fundraising activities including donor and public relations, direct mail appeals, sponsorships and special events. This position is an important component of the Development Team in helping achieve fundraising goals in support of the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen?s Alliance?s mission. You should have a passion for database management and data integrity, excellent verbal and written communication skills, superb analytical skills, user proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to organize and prioritize work. Candidate should be proficient in creating, compiling, and tracking documents, spreadsheets and PowerPoints. Candidate should also be comfortable working independently and contributing to a dynamic team. Donor database and WordPress experience is a plus. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Completes a broad variety of core administrative projects and tasks for Development Team as it relates to all fundraising activities. Completes gift processing and reports, acknowledgement letters, personal correspondence, reports and other tasks as assigned by the Director of Development. Manages eTapestry as a key tool to track and record industry members and donor actions, events, and gift reconciliation and produce reports and enter donations into donor management system. ? Manages and fulfills merchandise orders. Provides special event and program support as needed, manages RSVPs, and assists with event logistics (Meet the Fleet, Hookers Ball, etc.), including set up of tables, chairs, and supplies, occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds. Assists with the preparation of materials supportive of fundraising goals (annual appeals, newsletters, cultivation and stewardship collateral, etc.), including edits to written collateral. Supports Development Team in organizing, maintaining, and updating administrative files, records, logs, databases, etc., including prospect and donor-related information and correspondence on a consistent and timely basis as needed. Updates resources for the Development Team, including brand templates, trainings, contact lists, etc. ? Updates development content on organization website. Identifies as a key member of the Development Team, develops positive working relationships with all members of the team, and participates in staff meetings and events. Remains educated and informed of organization?s missions, goals, programs, and case for support. ? Identify systems that improve efficiency. This is categorized as an \"occasional position\" of 10 hours per week on average. Work is expected to be done in the office. There will be a flexible work agreement for days and hours worked (Monday through Friday), including occasional night and weekend work related to special events.
