The Enterprise Excellence Engineer III provides hands-on support to transform the business by developing and implementing systems that continuously improve the flow of value and challenge people to think and fix problems every day.

Principal Responsibilities

• Continuous Improvement - Demonstrates initiative and critical thinking to identify, prioritize both process and performance gaps.

• Culture and Values – Exemplifies Teleflex values and ensures a fair, open and productive climate that is engaging, ethical and legally compliant.

• Assist with the implementation and execution of the site transformation and Enterprise Excellence strategy.

• Complete or assist with the completion of process improvement projects in collaboration with the site and regional teams.

• Apply process improvement tools and methodologies including but not limited to, Structured Problem Solving, Value Creation, Waste Elimination, Visual Management, 5S plus Safety, Standard Work, Error Proofing, and SMED.

• Actively participate in daily (production) management and daily problem-solving activities, primarily at the line and value stream levels. Participate in plant-level activities as required.

• Apply engineering and analytical practices in the support of process improvement.

• Assist with planning, organization, and execution of Rapid Improvement Events (Kaizen Events).

• Apply benchmarking and best practice sharing to expand improvements.

• Adhere to company policies and procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS / INTERFACES

• Frequent: Front Line and Middle Level Staff and Management (Site)

• Moderate: Senior Plant Leadership and Staff (Site); Outside Business Partners

• Rare: Senior and Executive Leadership (Regional/Global)

Education / Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (required) or Higher Education, Focus in Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred).

• 4+ years of working experience in Enterprise Excellence.

• Prior experience in manufacturing or distribution (preferred).

• Broad application of basic and advanced engineering, analytical, and Enterprise Excellence concepts.

• Lean Practitioner, Six Sigma, or related Certifications (preferred).

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficiency with computer business applications Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and advanced applications (Visio, MS Project, CAD, Minitab, etc.)

• Knowledge of Shingo Model; Training Within Industry (TWI) Methodology; Value Stream Mapping; Statistical Methods (preferred).

• Complete routine tasks with minimal instruction and new tasks with general instructions.

• Adept at relationship building across functions and geography to effectively work with and leverage centers of excellence.

• Proven ability to drive change and lead in projects.
