Summary The incumbent serves as a Materials Handler for the Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) with responsibility for the proper receipt, storage and issues of all supplies and equipment. Responsibilities Major Duties and Responsibilities include: Unloads incoming shipments, verifies receipt, and matches shipping documents and receipts. Processes receiving reports promptly after receipt of merchandise (including partial shipments) to ensure payment to vendor in a timely manner. Maintains proper storage of items after processing, pending delivery to appropriate section. Sort product by product lot number, expiration date, and zone. Screens shipping and receiving documents to identify discrepancies. Work Schedule: M-F; 6:00am-2:30pm (EST) or at the discretion of the supervisor and the needs of the agency. They may lift and carry items that weigh up to 40 pounds. The heavier items are moved with weight handling equipment or with assistance from other workers. Materials Handlers are regularly exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, abrasions, falls, and injury from falling stock or mechanized work areas. When working in hazardous materials areas, they may be subject to exposure from radiation, toxins, explosive hazards, or chemical fumes. Work may require wearing protective clothing such as hardhats, steel toed shoes, rubber gloves, masks, and rubber aprons.
