Triton Systems, Inc. Project Engineer for Medical Devices in Chelmsford, Massachusetts
.Triton Systems is seeking a Project level Engineer with interest in innovative research in a wide array of engineering disciplines within our Living Systems group.. Responsibilities Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design, develop, and test all aspects of medical devices and assay products. Lead the creation of product requirements, specifications, and test documents. Lead ideation and writing of competitive proposals for the US government and other funding. Project leadership from ideation to product Integrate components to form complex systems and assay products. Use knowledge of various manufacturing methods, engineering practices, and materials to complete designs within specifications. Create necessary technical documentation such as drawings, bill of materials, assembly/installation instructions, and engineering reports. Communicate, brainstorm, and collaborate with a diverse, close-knit multi-disciplinary team. Collaborate with relevant functional groups within the company to coordinate design activities, documentation, and implementation and develop transition plans to bridge design revisions. Consistent use of root cause techniques to determine the root cause and enact mitigation/corrective actions in the future. Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or other Ph.D.-level technical degrees with a solid mechanical/biomedical design background). Several years of postdoctoral experience is a plus. MS with appropriate industry experience will also be considered. Track record of innovative research and development as demonstrated by publications, patents, or work experience. Experience designing/building complex, multi-component electromechanical assembly, diagnostic and clinical assay products. Experience with data analysis and computational skills, including univariate and multivariate statistical analysis, data exchange, and integration protocols. Proficient in MATLAB, Java, Python, or R Proficient with drawing and dimensioning to ANSI/ASME Y14.5 standards. Competency in component and integrated system tolerancing analysis. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in rapid prototyping and 3D printing. Experience with quality control procedures, standards, and the FDA regulatory process (working in an FDA-regulated industry). Demonstrated knowledge of COMSOL Multiphysics, Solidworks Experience with GUI development kits. Practical experience with life science or medical device equipment comprised of automation. Willingness to adapt quickly to the needs of a growing technology company. High attention to detail and documentation. Possessing a high level of motivation, initiative, and sense of urgency. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
