Cadence is seeking a VMware/Nutanix Administrator to join our team!
You will work as part of a team who support and maintain our global VM & HCI infrastructure. You will need to be self-motivated, hands-on IT professional responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting daily issues and creating solutions for improving our expanding Virtual & HCI Infrastructure.
Role: VMware / Nutanix Administrator
Location: Bay Area, Austin, Boston,
Work with on VMWare daily operations: Configuration & Upgrades.
Troubleshoot any issues with VMware, Nutanix.
Work on global projects to setup new environment.
Work on automation projects.
Track & close any user issues.
At least 6 years’ experience on VMware 5.5 and 6.5and 7 and Nutanix Administration.
At least 6 years of experience specialized in System Administration working on Redhat Linux, SUSE Linux, AIX, Cent OS, Windows environments.
Involved in installation, configuration and administration of RHEL 4.x/5.x/6.x/7.1, SLES 10/11/12).
Very Good Understanding of virtualization technology.
Experience in P2V, vMotion and VMware virtual center 5.5 ,6.5 and 7.
Good hands-on command line of VMware Environment.
Good working knowledge on Nutanix administration.
Good understanding of HA and DRS environment.
Strong understanding on managing Virtual switches including DVS, NSX-T technologies, OpenVSwitch and Linux bridges.
Managing VLANs, virtual switches at scale.
Good exposure in implementing and managing VM GPU environments at scale.
Good experience on implementing and managing VMware Horizon environments at scale.
Overall relevant experience – 12 years
Good working experience on Terraform.
Proficient on Python,
Good working knowledge of NSX setup and operations.
Knowledge of CI/CD concepts
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
Educational Qualification: BE / Master’s in Computer Sciences.
