The MENTOR Network Bilingual Mental Health Clinician (Spanish/Portuguese) in Chelsea, Massachusetts

MENTOR South Bay, a part of The MENTOR Network, is a community-based, behavioral health care organization offering a continuum of services including adult behavioral health, substance abuse counseling, children’s behavioral health, autism services, and early childhood services.

Mental Health Clinician

Responsible for providing outpatient mental health and/or substance abuse services to individuals, groups, families and couples.

  • Provide outreach counseling to individual, group, family, and couples

  • Consult with outside agencies, referral sources, and other professionals as necessary

  • Attend supervision, staff meetings, and consultations as required

  • Complete surveys and questionnaires as required

  • Initiate, maintain, and complete clinical files and records for each client, including initial evaluations, assessments, treatment plans, session notes, transfer and termination summaries and other required documentation

  • Adhere to company policies, administrative directives, therapy guidelines, codes of conduct and all office and administrative procedures

  • Adhere to all therapy guidelines and codes of conduct

  • Adhere to professional standards and guidelines according to their respective disciplines

  • Respond to client emergencies as needed

  • Attend court hearings, CORE evaluations, and other meetings as required

  • Maintain contact with site and consumers by checking voicemail and emails daily.

  • Keep supervisor informed of progress of all cases

  • Meet direct service requirements based on part time or full time status, as designated

  • Adhere to provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 119, Section 51A (Mandated Reporter); report all occurrences immediately to the clinic

  • Adhere to clinical recommendations from clinical administration

  • Maintain confidentiality in all clinical matters

  • Remain compliant with billing and documentation in accordance with direct service requirement

  • Must have and maintain valid driver’s license.

    Qualifications:

  • Counselor (Master level): Master’s degree in Counseling Education, Counseling Psychology, or Rehabilitation Counseling from an accredited educational institution and full-time supervised clinical experience in a multi-disciplinary mental health setting subsequent to obtaining a Master’s degree. Dual diagnosis experience is required to conduct therapy with dual diagnosis clients. Must have completed a full-time clinical internship in a mental health setting.

  • Social Worker (MSW and/or LCSW): Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited educational institution and two years full-time supervised clinical experience in a graduate internship program. Dual diagnosis experience is required to conduct therapy with dual diagnosis. Must be licensed or applying for licensure as a certified social worker by the Massachusetts Board of Registration for Social Workers.

  • Social Worker (LICSW): Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited educational institution and two years fulltime supervised clinical experience subsequent to obtaining a Master’s degree. Dual diagnosis is required to conduct therapy with dual diagnosis clients. Must be licensed or have applied for licensure and have a license pending as an Independent Clinical Social Worker by the Massachusetts Board of Registration for Social Workers.

  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese
