Kayem Foods, Inc. High lift Operator - 3rd Shift in Chelsea, Massachusetts

SUMMARY: Use stand-up High-lift to move products, equipment, and materials while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Put away palletized units by lifting forks for placement into racks above floor height for inbound and production items

  • Pick palletized units out of rack locations above floor height and set up for outbound shipment

  • Choose and record materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items

  • Do all necessary paperwork for the safe operation of equipment and product movement in the computer system

  • Willing to be cross trained

  • Perform other tasks as requested

  • Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting device

  • Complete daily maintenance/check sheet for all equipment assigned

    REQUIREMENTS:

  • Have experience or working knowledge of processing equipment operation, processing specifications, and labeling requirements

  • Have experience or working knowledge of processing equipment operation, processing specifications, and labeling requirements

  • Bilingual is a plus but you must be able to complete required paperwork (productivity reports and other miscellaneous paperwork)

  • Ability to work on production floor; a wet, cold, and loud environment

  • Ability to work in temperatures as low as 20 to 40 degrees

  • Capable of regularly lifting and /or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 80 lbs

  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
