Kayem Foods, Inc. Production Worker Old Packing - 2nd Shift in Chelsea, Massachusetts
SUMMARY: Responsibilities of this position include :
Stopping production and seeking assistance if there is a problem
Assembling machinery for startup
Place, stack, or transport product onto pallets
Cutting products and / or unloading racks of products
Insure adequate quantities of product are supplied to fill orders
Position involves heavy pushing of tree racks at least 50 lbs, and lifting up to 75 to 80 lbs.
Be willing to be cross trained within department to cover responsibilities if required
Other duties as assigned
Visually inspect the product for any non- conforming areas, and set aside any non-conforming products
Working knowledge of processing equipment operation, processing Specifications, and labeling requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos in English
Must have basic mathematical skills
Capable of regularly lifting and /or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 75 lbs.
Ability to work on production floor; a wet, cold, and loud environment
Previous food manufacturing experience a plus
