Job Description
Assist with the daily administrative operational and functional activities for the Information Technology Department. Prepare correspondence and reports for both internal and external distribution. Process purchasing and requisition transactions, arrange for travel, make appointments, and manage calendars. Must follow up and monitor all transactions and get back to the originating staff member as required.
In addition, supports the Associate Director and Assistant Director, ITS HR to maintain accurate and confidential records for ITS employees and manage organizational staff functions. Assist with PeopleSoft/MAJC recruitment system updates. Assist with interview setups and is back-up to Kronos time reporting process.
Assists with the hiring of Undergraduate & Graduate students and helps coordinate ITS student employment functions. Must be self-motivated and work independently. Assists with the supervision & training of students to ensure proper coverage of the front desk area.
Full-Time Hourly Hiring Range: $24.92 to $31.15; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements
High School Diploma is required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of increasingly greater responsibility for administrative and fiscal matters, ideally in a higher education setting.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, managerial, interpersonal skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
Sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with PeopleSoft Financial and PeopleSoft Human resources is a plus.
Some evening work might be required.
