Job Description

The Programs Administrator will be responsible for coordinating operations for the Office of Strategic Initiatives and External Relations within the Lynch School of Education and Human Development. Working closely with the Associate Dean, this role will be instrumental in providing project management and coordination of efforts related to professional development, urban outreach initiatives, alumni relations, academic program innovations, Dean’s Office events planning, and marketing and communication functions within the Lynch School of Education and Human Development.

The Programs Administrator manages budgetary practices of various functions within Office of Strategic Initiatives and External Relations, coordinates project plans and implementation management over the course of a project’s life, oversees space, resource, and planning needs of Directors/Assistant Directors within the Office, and executes special projects including benchmarking research, event planning and management, and ad hoc planning to advance initiatives. This position serves as the main point of contact for the Associate Dean and directors, acting as the project management hub for all functions within the Office.

Salary range: $52,400 to $65,500; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience, preferably within higher education setting

  • Coordination and project-based experience preferred

  • Proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational, managerial, interpersonal skills, and exceptional attention to detail
