FIT Staffing Data Systems Analyst in Chicopee, Massachusetts
CHICOPEE Data Systems Analyst Responsible for the performance, integrity, security, integration, documentation, and recoverability of all databases. Responsible for the complete lifecycle of new databases and the tools that leverage the information stored in those databases. This is a fully onsite role, Monday - Friday. Primary Roles and Responsibilities: Assists the Data Systems Administrator in the operation, tuning, backup, upgrading, security, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all databases to all production systems including CIS, ERP, GIS, AMI, MDM, and OMS Serve as the primary contact for all Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Meter Data Management (MDM) systems Work closely with internal staff and the Data Systems Administrator to implement, maintain, and document integrations between internal systems and other data sources using approved languages and protocols Assist the Data Systems Administrator in the evaluation, recommendation, implementation, and periodic review of proposed vendor systems, along with new integration technologies Assists the Data Systems Administrator as an internal subject matter expert for the operation, troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and documentation Assist the Data Systems Administrator with the customization, modification, maintenance, and training of employees on reports and reporting tools Assist the Data Systems Administrator in the maintenance of the company Intranet Responsible for end-user support of Line of Business applications Act as point of contact for all troubleshooting and maintenance with the vendors of line of business applications Keep current with industry-standard technology changes through industry group membership, publications, and formal training Perform related duties, as assigned Job Specifications: Associate degree in Computer Science, trade program certification in database administration, or equivalent experience Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting computer-based IT applications Analysis, programming, implementation, and direct technical support experience required Minimum of 1 year of experience in interfacing/integration projects Experience in serving in a project technical role Experience with Oracle databases a plus Experience with Harris NorthStar, SEDC GA, Futura OMS, and ESRI ArcGIS applications a plus Experience using enterprise helpdesk systems - such as Dell KACE - a plus Skills and Job Knowledge: Familiarity with a broad range of system integration protocols and standards including, but not limited to: MultiSpeak, Perl, ODBC, JDBC, JavaScript, JSON, jQuery, HTML 5, CSS, SSL, SOAP, REST, PHP, ASP, PoSH, XML Proficiency with data interface development, maintenance, and troubleshooting Proficiency with Cognos and Microsoft SQL Reporting Services Proficiency with Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Data Mining, and ETL Experience with large, high-performance, high-availability transactional databases is required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated expertise in project management, systems analysis, customer relations, and vendor management Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to deal effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities to work effectively as a team player is required Executions of all job responsibilities and assignments promptly, reliably, honestly, ethically, and in a professional manner Requires sitting for prolonged periods and significant PC usage
