WWTP Attendant (Nights) Position Title: WWTP Attendant (Nights) Department: DPW Wastewater Treatment Plant Employment Status: UFCW Laborer, Non-Exempt; Full-Time Salary: Grade 6L, Step 5 / Starting at \$18.36 - \$21.62 per hour + Licenses Licenses/Certifications: MA CDL Class B Required (Class A Preferred), Hoisting 2C within Probationary Period. SUMMARY The City of Chicopee\'s Department of Public Works / Wastewater Treatment Plant is hiring an Attendant (Nights) who has the primary responsibilities will be in the operation, maintenance, cleaning, and repair of all plan process equipment, buildings, and grounds for proper and safe operation. Dries vehicles to transport facility residual. ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE Clean Lubricate, paint, maintain, pumps, chain drives, pumps, pump, stations, compressors, vehicles, works with preventative maintenance program and related tasks. In charge of day-to-day maintenance of all assigned vehicles; Drive, maintain. Clean, registry inspection, scheduling of routine preventative maintenance. Operates CDL vehicle as needed for the removal, emptying of containers, transportation and disposal of residual and materials. Will be required to work in all divisions of the DPW-Public Utilities. Snow Removal: may be assigned to DPW Highway to operate plows/sanders/ any and all other storm related equipment during snow and ice removal. Other duties as assigned per the full job description. QUALIFICATIONS To be minimally qualified for this position, one must meet the following criteria: High School Diploma or Equivalent 1-2 years of related experience and/or training. Massachusetts Class B licenses required (Class A Desired) with Air brakes and tanker endorsement. Massachusetts 1B/2C Hoisting License - Required to obtain within Probationary Period.
