Job Description

HII, Mission Technologies is a mission critical focused division supporting government and commercial customers worldwide with more than 6,000 professionals across 45 states and 16 countries. Our CEWS division is looking for an experienced Scrum Master to join our team in Concord, MA.

The HII team in Concord is responsible for managing the enterprise architecture, engineering technical solutions to address capability gaps, and the development, sustainment, and modernization of enterprise applications.

Essential Job Responsibilities

As a Scrum Master, you are a coach for different scrum teams (including sprint reviews and planning). You will be responsible for tracking and overseeing milestones on key projects, holding daily stand-up meetings, and collaborating closely with the Engineering, Data, and Product teams. You will be collaborating with both junior and more experienced Scrum Masters.

Skills and Knowledge:

Strong people skills

Strong coordination skills, comfortable working with teams, and able to lead when necessary

Previous development or IT experience, preferred with cloud computing or software development

Prior experience with weather a plus

Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues.

Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Operating Systems and Office Suite.

Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Exchange / Active Directory.

Assist in the deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. Technology-related field preferred.

5+ years of project delivery experience in analyzing, designing, and implementing information systems.

Experience with JIRA and Confluence a plus

Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen and possess the ability to acquire a U.S. Security Clearance.

Preferred Requirements

Previous DoD experience a plus

Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.

Working Agile team and/or Scrum experience is preferred.

Experience with systems development methodologies and formal documentation processes.

Successful track record delivering in an evolving and fast-paced environment.

Experience with project management in a technology / software development organization.

Strong communicator, empathic, and humble are key attributes of a successful candidate in this role.

Ability to see problems from multiple perspectives and able to remove roadblocks quickly and effectively.
