Crane Currency Security Operations Supervisor in Dalton, Massachusetts
Leadership is Currency at Crane We are seeking a Security Operations Supervisor to join our team in Dalton, MA. In this position, you will play a critical role with an exciting organization known for innovative currency and banknote technology. As a Security Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and training of all Officers and Command Officers, as well as assisting the Manager with various security related duties, as needed. In addition, the Supervisor oversees the department's activities and personnel in the absence of the Security Manager. This is a second shift position. Key Responsibilities include: Supervise the monitoring of all alarms through the central alarm system, which cover several buildings and includes numerous fire alarms, burglar alarms and supervisory alarms, to include producing reports of card access programming Review daily Winds Report documenting reasons for any discrepancies in missed areas or problems associated with the rounds to include daily reports Review daily Security Operations Center (SOC) Digital logs for accuracy and discrepancies Supervise the daily activities of the security staff, maintaining frequent contact with all personnel Support special events, visitors or unusual mill activities, ensuring all security measures are followed Schedule department personnel and ensure shift coverage for any security personnel who are calling out or anticipate being out with focus of department budget requirements and minimizing over time cost Schedule and facilitate quarterly meetings for department personnel Qualifications: Associate Degree or higher, preferred or Certified in Security Supervision and Management (CSSM) or attainment within 12 months of appointment. Minimum of five years of experience in security or law enforcement. Candidates possessing a BS in Criminal Justice, Security or an equivalent field can substitute four years of experience. Candidates with an AS in these fields can substitute two years of experience. Must have valid driver's license. Possess a Massachusetts Class A Firearms Permit. Ability to be proficient in basic computer skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with intermediate power point and excel skills desired Ability to act quickly, calmly and appropriately in emergency or high stress situations. Ability to prioritize demands, ability to use good judgment, ability to work well with people. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills. Communicate across the organization and with external customers, vendors, etc.; history of working collaboratively with others. Must be able to submit to and pass random company drug and alcohol testing. Must be able to work rotating shifts, extended hours, weekends and holidays, as required. Ability to successfully pass the Handgun Qualification Course prior to performing any armed duty and successfully re-qualify every April and October.
