Job Description:
Position Summary:
Performs primary functions of the Registered Pharmacist in interpreting and evaluating medication orders and prescriptions. Prepares and dispenses medications in accordance with established hospital and air laws governing such acts. Supervises and verifies die accuracy of all work performed by pharmacy technicians/interns. Performs clinical functions of the department and provides pharmaceutical services to neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. Is responsible for developing and promoting collaborative and collegial relationships with nurses, physicians and interdepartmental personnel as they relate to the pharmaceutical care of the patients.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. Two years Hospital or related experience. Current Massachusetts Pharmacist License required.
