Job Description:
Maintain finished goods warehouse, process customer orders. Work from pick papers/bills of lading for instructions on packing, labeling and miscellaneous customer requests to assemble orders accurately and efficiently.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand the Kanban process and help monitor the process (Kanban sweep and improvements).
Maintain bin locations and keep an eye on lot numbers throughout the warehouse.
Check and ship orders following DOT, IATA and IMDG regulations. After hire, must pass DOT class within a few months.
Process all orders.
Perform duties to prepare, pack, weigh, and ship orders.
Keep track of lot numbers on the packing list and in JDE.
Conform to all safety policies and procedures, including proper wearing of personal protective equipment and use of guards.
Perform department housekeeping to keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Participate in job related training and development.
Perform other related duties as required to assist team members to reach shipping and quality goals. Cross train in all areas of the department.
Promote, support, and adhere to all safety, environmental and quality related policies and procedures. Participate in the STOP program.
SKILLS, AND COMPENTECES
High School Degree or equivalent.
Drive fork truck (and utilize other material handling equipment – mules, jacks) and utilize wrapping equipment when necessary.
Knowledge of company policies regarding shipment and quality service issues.
Ability to interact effectively with other departments, including Production and Customer Service.
