CST is seeking a Software Engineer (Applications) IV to join our Danvers, MA office.
Plan, coordinate, design, implement, and test all activities related to the integration of software programs, data, applications, and services to meet the business requirements of the organization.
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating a set of integration patterns and blueprints and roadmaps for the organization and its strategic partners to leverage in their systems and planning.
Oversee the testing of the interoperability of application and data modules including: those under development in-house software teams; commercial off the shelf systems; software developed by external teams; and external APIs, including B2B transactions.
Collaborate with stakeholders, project management, and implementation team to create and communicate artifacts for the integration platform, including: Platform Roadmap; Runbooks; patterns and best practices catalog; and SOPs and How-to documents.
Lead the integration platform capability such as platform governance and configuration, vendor management, and DevOps and automation.
Consult with multiple platform teams to deploy solutions utilizing the platform capability. Review integration projects requirements and design.
Review release candidates before deployment.
Collaborate with the overall engineering team to troubleshoot issues.
Coach and mentor the engineering team on the capability and patterns for integration.
Deliver integration solutions utilizing the following techniques: Event-Driven Architecture; batch mode schedule integration; and data hubs.
Deliver inter-company integrations, including B2B, securely and robustly using the integration platform.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or 7 years of experience in software engineering, integration, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience in software engineering, integration, or related occupation in lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 7 year of experience.
Requires experience with: Java and Python programming languages; API design and usage; DevOps; automation; event-driven architecture; batch mode schedule integration; data hubs; Oracle SOA, Dell Boomi, and Informatica integration platforms; Linux; distributed transactional systems; and distributed system design.
