State of Massachusetts Speech Language Path Assistant in Danvers, Massachusetts

_This position is located at Hogan Regional Center in Danvers, MA___ The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is seeking to hire an experienced and enthusiastic professionalSpeech Language Pathologist Assistant at the Hogan Regional Center working with residents who are intellectually and physically disabled.The Speech and Language Pathology Assistant provides communication, speech and language support services toindividuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant receives clinical supervision from a Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist. Duties and Responsibilities(these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive): * Providescommunication, speech and language support services toindividuals by implementing prescribed therapy programs. * Monitors progress and effectiveness in achieving therapy objectives and goals. * Assist other team members in carrying over general communication programs as well as individual service plans. * Collect data and document accurately on individuals’ performance as mandated by professional, facility and DDS standards. * Attends and actively participates in support team meetings to serve as clinical discipline representation. * Reports and processes information with clinical supervisor. * Assist in gathering information via observation and trails for screenings and report to supervisory therapist. * Participates in training related to clinical discipline to enhance knowledge and skills. Schedule: Tuesday-Friday: 9:00a.m.-5:30p.m. Saturday: 7:00a.m.-3:30p.m. Days off: Sunday/Monday About the Department of Developmental Services: The mission of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is to create innovative and genuine opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder to participate fully and contribute meaningfully to their communities as valued members.
