PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Team Lead role is responsible for providing on the floor supervision and participate in materials management activities across the Cell Therapy Facility including, receiving, sampling, warehousing, material cleaning, kitting, distribution and performing/reviewing related documentation.

12-hour shifts with rotating weekends

6PM-6AM or 6AM-6PM

DU TIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Leadership

  • Ensure a safe work environment is maintaine d in all areas where Material Operations activities occur

  • Perform daily scheduling & supervision of job assignments for Materials Operations personnel

  • Provide coaching to Material Operations personnel in the areas of S afety, Quality & p roductivity

  • Collaborate with cross-functional employees & department managers to solve work-related problems and perform run-the-business activities

  • Identify changes in documentation and equipment as part of continuous improvement; initiate changes and follow through to implementation (document approval & training)

  • Serve as a back-up in the absence of direct manager

Document & Work Review

  • Assist in reviewing area documents, such as logb ooks & w orksheets. Re quest new log books & archive completed GMP documents when required

  • Review work throughout the work process and at completion, in order to ensure that it has been performed properly , where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required

  • Verif y SAP transactions of inventoried materials and their movements. Troubleshoot inventory/transaction e rrors

General Work Activities

  • Deliver the right material , to the right location, at the right time . The Team Lead is expected to be a working lead, performing routine Material Operations activities across the Cell Therapy Facility including receiving, sampling, warehousing, material cleaning, kitting & distribution

  • Coordinate, pack & ship materials to both domestic and international markets, including hazardous materials

  • Adhere to good manufacturing p ractices and standard operating procedures

  • Lead in maintaining material inventory accuracy using required systems and equipment

  • Support process investigations & CAPAs

  • Provide oversight and suggestions on special projects such as validation of Material Operations areas

R EQUIRED COMPETENCIES: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:

  • High school Diploma / GED. Additional post-secondary education resulting in an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a r elevant discipline is preferred

  • An equivalent combination of education, experie nce and training may substitute

  • Preferred but not required: Certification in CPIM, CSCP, and/or CLTD

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in warehousing (preferably GMP) or performing material operations activities

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications

  • Knowledge of inventory systems (preferably SAP) & cGMP/Pharmaceutical regulations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated experience to

  • E ffectively communicate problem statements and escalate concerns

  • P resent data and analyses in an organized, clear and concise manner

  • Coach less experienced group members

  • W ork independently for extended periods of time

Work Requirements

  • A valid Driver's License (CDL preferred)

  • Operate in a GMP warehouse environment & gown into GMP clean r oom areas

  • Don Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by procedures & signage. May come in contact with hazardous material requiring additional PPE inc luding respiratory protection (e mployee must be physically capable to wear a respirator )

  • May be required to work alternate shift schedules, including shift or weekend coverage

  • Operate motor vehicles including, 24 ft box trucks, fork lifts and other mo torized material handling equipment

  • Perform material picking activities at heights of up to 25 ft with required fall protection

  • Perform activities as physical job, where employee may have to lift as much as 50 pounds and regularly bend reach & walk.

  • This position will be Monday - Friday with normal daytime hours and will then transition to 12-hour shifts.
