Roles and Responsibilities:

This role is accountable to:

  • Lead cross-functional teams for Upstream Technical Transfer , providing technical direction for process design and validation as appropriate

  • Author facility fit reports and associated change management for technology transfer readiness

  • Perform process monitoring and troubleshooting during the execution of the manufacturing process using various monitoring tools

  • Author campaign summary reports

  • Lead compliance deviations associated with technical transfer

  • Support health authority inquiries and inspections as applicable

  • Collaborate and communicate successfully with key stakeholders

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biology, or Chemistry, or equivalent in relevant discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Masters or PhD is preferred, but not required. Time spent in advanced degree programs may be considered as equivalent relevant experience.

  • Understanding of GMP practices, quality risk management, and documentation compliance requirements

  • Strong background in biological manufacturing operations including technical transfer process design and control

  • Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to balance urgency, quality and technical risk to deliver value added business results that meet compliance and process robustness requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects

  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate in a matrix-environment through various formats (e.g. lead meetings, written reports, presentations, etc.)
