Reporting to the Head of Payments & Commercial Technology, The Director Delivery Assurance leads the Delivery Assurance function for all relevant applications, and covering both, change and run the bank. Will foster an environment of collaboration and teamwork among various technology teams and the business units of Product, Operations and Digital functions to create an optimal Testing services discipline and a conducive environment for continuous improvements in the quality, timeliness, and unit cost. Will set up a scalable but nimble Testing organization for all business applications, increasing the business flow expertise in the team, on Transaction origination and core processing, Customer service & Operational processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads Quality Assurance with focus on improving the source business requirements, incorporating production behaviors into test scenarios, thoughtful generation of the test data, active ownership of test environments, end to end traceability of scope into test design and execution plan, effective defects management, actionable test metrics, and proactive management of resources/capacity, risks & issues, dependencies, and schedule changes.

  • With appropriate access to tools over the applications, databases, filesystems, and schemas the Director will build a strong Testing team, supported by right training on application architecture & functionality. The team must maintain systems documentation & knowledge base, for cross-share. Will also lead the team for run the bank activities originating from the system management tasks – regulatory reviews, audit, risk & compliance assessments, GBLA, SOX, Action Drivers, and InfoSec scans.

  • Setup a sub-team who will also support all business support enquiries, business growth initiatives on current functionality & limits. The team will also maintain and update the test environment support scripts, system monitoring tasks and performance metrics.

  • Oversee direct or indirect engagement into validating the Security/Controls/Stability/Scalability findings, Availability Management, Capacity Management, Infrastructure (HW/SW) patches, Change Management, Release & Deployment, Continuity of Business Management, and Client Implementations (Onboarding).

  • Ensure the team participates in the project related requirements, design & architecture reviews, provide input for design and development activities, and ensure test considerations are included. The team should practice constant Knowledge Transition from Level 2 and 3/ Dev teams on latest architecture, interfaces, dependencies, functional changes, participate in Implementation plan preparation and deployment activities, coordinate with Infra and Level 1 & 2 support teams to implement the changes.

  • Bring thought leadership for topics covering Solution, Business, Data, Integrations, Infrastructure, Information Security architecture, both for the day to day and the strategic choices, including the choices around new technologies, incremental improvements, or obsolescence.

  • Reviews existing Testing processes and establishes metrics to improve those, as well as support of all business activities.

  • Shares best practices, lessons learned and constantly updates the technical documentation, based on changing technologies, and knowledge related to recent, current, and upcoming products and solutions.

  • Develops a roadmap for the evolution of the Testing portfolio from current to future state (as defined in partnership with IT/Business leadership).

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 15 years of technical experience in software design, development, architecture, software engineering, Quality Assurance, and User Acceptance Testing.

  • 5+ years’ experience in leading a Testing organization.

  • 2+ years’ experience in a Transformation program at regional, national, or global bank.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience of delivering Testing services, in a resilient and highly efficient environment.

  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and information security practices.

  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices.

  • Demonstrated applied knowledge of enterprise application architecture and designs.

  • Ability to influence and guide peers, subordinates and management.

  • Ability to adjust to new developments and changing circumstances.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with multiple levels of the organizational structure.

  • A desire to apply their experience to a broader set of business, non-functional, and process-oriented concerns.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking. The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Salary: $148,500 - $210,000/year
