Cartamundi BOBST OPERATOR LEVEL 1 - 2nd Shift in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts

Bobst Operator Level 1

Level 1 operators run the Aerator - Jogger used to prepare stock for te Bobst die cutting operation. They must also demonstrate the ability to safely exchange forklift batteries. May perform other duties as assigned. Supports and participates in Continuous Improvement, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Programs.

What you’ll do as a Bobst Operator Level 1

  • A Bobst Operator Level 1 assists higher Bobst Operators in running the presses performing tasks such as loading and unloading pallets of material, stripping waste and removing waste materials.

  • Level 1 operators run the Aerator - Jogger used to prepare stock for the Bobst die cutting operation.

  • Level 1 operators run Balers which includes dumping, weighing and storing bales, general troubleshooting, and changing wire spools.

  • They must also demonstrate the ability to safely exchange forklift batteries.

Physical requirements and working conditions:

Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:

  • Requires the ability to safely operate mobile equipment.

  • Requires regular transfer of objects and materials weighing up to 25 pounds

  • Mus be able to reach over shoulder height regularly

  • Requires frequent twisting, climbing of stairs, ladders and platforms and mounting and dismounting of mobile equipment.

  • Must be able to push and pull objects respectively.

  • Must have the ability to stand for the majority of an eight-hour shift.

  • Requires repetitive grasping motions with both hands.

  • Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead

  • Perform sedentary work on various computer systems

  • This Bobst Operator Level 1 position is located on-site in our East Longmeadow facility
