Riverview School Events/Advancement Associate in East Sandwich, Massachusetts

Working within the department of Advancement, the Events/Advancement Associate will collaborate with and support the department to aid in the planning and execution of all department efforts in support of the school's strategic objectives regarding events, fundraising and stewardship of parents, students, and alumni with an emphasis on special event support. Events range from small receptions to the annual Gala, a major fundraising event for the school. This position is a 3-day (24 hr) part time position, with flexible hours possible; occasional weekend and evening work required. Responsibilities: Work with the Special Events Manager and Associate Director of Advancement to ensure that the strategic objectives of the school are met, and a consistent tone is reflected in all efforts. Help to create and maintain an annual events Calendar and assess additional event opportunities as they are presented. Conduct periodic analysis of events and recommend changes to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Support departmental needs including: event logistics, timelines, budgets, communication with venues, vendors, and the negotiation of contracts. Fully utilize technology to automate essential elements of planning, tracking and production. Assist with the creation of collateral, including invitations and programs. Recruit and manage volunteers to deepen community engagement. Specific Duties Work in collaboration with the Special Events Manager to plan and execute Riverview's annual fundraising gala and expand opportunities for revenue growth. Help to coordinate and co-manage logistics for parent weekends, including Opening Weekend, Fall Family Weekend, Transition Weekend and Alumni Weekend. Help to support family association efforts to further strengthen relationships with families. Help to coordinate with other departments additional school-wide events including but not limited to: Cultural Diversity Day, Staff Appreciation Events, Regional Parent Receptions and Board Receptions. Work with the Advancement team to shape periodic cultivation events for parents. Skills Required Demonstrated strategic and tactical experience in event planning, logistics execution, and volunteer engagement. Creativity, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with volunteers, faculty, staff, and vendors. Strong oral, written and technology skills. Strong office skills and experience with fundraising software. Raiser's Edge and Greater Giving preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred.
