Spaulding Rehab Cape Cod Physician Services Secretary in East Sandwich, Massachusetts

Provide administrative support for the Spaulding Cape Cod Outpatient Physician Clinic. Perform all activities associated with the daily operations of the clinic including scheduling, registration, coordination of diagnostic testing & specialty consults. Responds to calls from patients, doctor\'s offices, case managers, & insurance companies, in a professional manner. Accurately communicates accurate messages as needed. Patients are scheduled for initial evaluation, follow up & injection procedures according to department standards. Instructions are clearly communicated to patient. Patients are greeted during check in & the registration; insurance verification & co-pay functions are completed. Physicians are notified of patient arrival. External clinical information & diagnostics are obtained for all appointments & uploaded to EMR in accordance with department standards. Monitor all incoming referrals, correspondence, test results & process according to department standards. Coordinate external specialty consults & diagnostic testing. Obtain insurance authorizations for these appointments. Insurance approvals & documentation are recorded in the EMR in accordance with department standards. Clinic charges are reviewed for accuracy & routed to billing service. Customer service delivery is carried out to achieve stated goals. Additional department, organization, or network activities are completed per established objectives. Preferred: Associates degree preferred Experience Required Preferred Two years\' experience in a medical/physician\'s office setting &/or experience with insurance benefits preferred. Licensure Required Preferred Skills (Specific learned activity gained through training (e.g. computer skills, keyboarding, presentation, CPR, ACLS, etc.) Required Computer proficiency required. Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software. Preferred Highly developed communications & interpersonal skills, working with diverse population. Work independently, be self-directed & contribute as a member of a team. Anticipates challenges & develops & implements strategies for addressing them. High level of service delivery. Demonstrate initiative with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines & adapt to changing situations. Attention to detail.
