South Shore Community Action Council ? South Shore Early Education and Care a program of the South Shore Community Action Council - a private non-profit providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, Cape and Islands, South Shore Early Education is seeking full -time, permanent Practice Based Coach in our Wareham location for 30 hours, 52 weeks per year. Base hourly rate with BA/BS in Early Childhood \$24.29/hr.; pay is commensurate with education, experience, licenses, and certifications. Outstanding employee benefits package, with in-service training, paid holidays. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Core Duties Coaching & planning with staff members, in line with CLASS Tool, and the current service delivery models, and in line with the current OHS/EEC regulations to deliver to the standard and improve deliverables. Provide constructive feedback upon assessing strengths, challenges & assessing areas needing improvement, after observing the teacher?s current practices. Must be familiar with different adult learning based strategies & principles and be able to easily transition to the trainee. Must be able to deliver specific results-oriented outcomes in the form of reporting to the Director actual numbers monthly. Content to be coached will include curricula; teaching practices; assessment tools; and other instructional tools that the teachers use in the classroom, or on home visits to assist in school readiness for the child. Training will be available. Core Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree or advanced degree (MS) in Early Childhood Education, or related field such as Child Care, Psychology, etc. Behavioral Health/Mental Health experience with children 0-5 and teaching adult learners. ABA experience helpful. Must be MA EEC, LTPS & Director II license (required). Knowledge of the comprehensive purpose and philosophy of the OHS/ EEC program including the regulations. Experience & compassion working with children and families 3-5 years of age. 3-5 years demonstrated supervisory experience. Knowledge of Class Tool, and all online technology, also must be tech savvy and able to video conference without training, perform online-recorded observations, and other computer functions solo. Bi-lingual in Portuguese or Spanish, Creole and Arabic is helpful although not required. Must speak and understand English. Minimum Requirements at employment: All candidates must undergo DCF and fingerprint background check; prior to beginning employment.
