Job Title: Apprentice Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Apprentice Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will report to the head mechanic and act as a parts runner. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone willing to learn and grow within the company, with the potential to advance to a true mechanic role.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head mechanic with daily tasks

• Act as a parts runner for the maintenance team

• Perform troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical issues

• Conduct preventive maintenance on a variety of construction and automotive equipment

• Work with hydraulics and diesel engines

• Support with diesel and automotive tech maintenance

Essential Skills

• Troubleshooting

• Mechanical and electrical repair

• Preventive maintenance

• Experience with hydraulics and diesel engines

• Automotive technology skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive gas experience

• Preferred experience with diesel engines

• Good knowledge of construction equipment

• Decent mechanical experience

Work Environment

Work at various construction sites and in a shop setting. You will be involved in maintaining and repairing a range of construction and automotive equipment.
