Our product Line includes refrigerated and frozen gourmet soups, side dishes and entrees for food service and retail. Summary: Provide financial, administrative and clerical services and to ensure accuracy and efficiency of operations. Process and monitor incoming payments and secure revenue by verifying and posting receipts. Ability to meet daily deadlines vital to the accounting department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and deposit all cash received from non-customers on a daily basis.
Process customer checks received daily through Remote Deposit scanner.
Apply payments received from all sources to customer accounts noting any discrepancies.
Make copies of all deductions and overpayments and log information into tracking spreadsheet. Log repayments received into tracking sheet.
File all cash batches and customer deductions for audit purposes.
Generate and print invoices daily for all customer shipments and post to the general ledger. Verify invoices for accuracy.
Distribute all invoices as designated by customers via e-mail, paper copy, fax or enter into customer web portal. Transmit Jetro/RD invoices via Transcepta.
Generate and transmit all EDI invoices using EDI Attendant.
Actively participate in the month-end and year-end closing process. This will include staying late and/or working on the weekend if a month end is on the weekend.
Provide support to AR Specialist by obtaining supporting documentation for deductions taken by customer and submit for approval and coding.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with Sage X3, or other financial software preferred.
Intermediate Excel skills in the areas of financial reporting and analysis.
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
Other responsibilities with similar skill, work conditions, and responsibilities as assigned.
Associate's degree in Accounting preferred
2 years related accounts receivable experience required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to multi-task, great attention to detail skills, ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Strong Excel skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
