Family Service Association has a great opportunity in our Family Resource Center. We are seeking a full time (35-40 hours per week) Clinician. The Family Resource Center Clinician is a licensed master’s level therapist who shall conduct trauma-informed intakes, screening, and assessment functions for Family Members experiencing CRA-related issues. This role is seated in Fall River, MA with occasional remote option.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Must have a willingness and ability to work with the SED, DMH and DCF populations.
Arrange for the collection of relevant information regarding the family’s story, current situation, and family strengths and needs.
Responsible for completing the modified CANS as well as other identified supplemental behavioral needs assessments
Oversee the development of the Family Support Plan and provide ongoing supervision and case management oversight to the Family Partner.
Fulfill reporting requirements of the department as well as required FRC documentation
Work with all Family Members who are involved with the FRC; however, Family Members experiencing CRA-related issues are prioritized for services.
Provide clinical support to other FRC staff.
Make referrals to other resources, agencies, clinics and hospitals as needed.
Facilitate FRC family and youth groups.
Assess immediate risk for safety of youth and/or family and coordinate resources for stabilizing that risk.
Respond to reasonable expectations of Agency and/or supervisor.
Understand and demonstrate commitment to agency mission, values, and philosophy in performing skills specific to role.
Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings/weekends to meet the needs of the child and family .
Maintain all ethical and legal requirements of the Agency.
Must meet with the Program Manager for supervision as needed.
Maintains standards of confidentiality
Focuses on understanding and meeting family needs.
Maintains positive work relationships in a respectful and collaborative manner.
Maintains good communication with others ensuring others have necessary information.
Actively works toward organizational improvement and professional growth.
Required to drive a personal vehicle on FRC business. Must have acceptable MVR, and appropriate insurance coverage.
Education and Experience requirements:
Must be a MA LICSW or LCSW with a Master’s Degree in Social Work or Master’s Degree in Counseling/Psychology or a related field with an LMHC from an accredited school.
Must have skills necessary to engage and work with others from diverse backgrounds.
Maintain a non-judgmental attitude toward families.
Maintain required licenses and certifications to perform role. Must have experience working with children and families.
Experience in navigating any of the child/family-serving systems and experience advocating for family members who are involved with behavioral health systems.
Must be certified in the Massachusetts CANS.
Must have three years of experience as a licensed clinician.
This is a full time (35-40 hour per week) position, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility with the schedule will be necessary as this schedule will change as needed to accommodate clients' clinical needs. Some evening hours are required. Typically 1-2 evenings per week as needed.
