Summary Perform electrical duties to the facility and manufacturing area equipment as requested by the maintenance supervisor, or as deemed necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Run conduit, wiring, hook-up disconnects, switches, push buttons, circuit panels, breakers, suppressors, transformers

  • Ability to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures.

  • Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the country, state and federal levels

  • Perform rigging activities, safety-related functions and other miscellaneous electrical functions.

  • Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools (both hand and power).

  • Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices.

  • Perform installation and maintenance work as part of a team of skilled trade workers.

  • Perform duties in a work environment that will be hot, cold, wet and fast-paced.

  • Self-starter yet able to take orders as directed.

  • Experience with VFDs, Servo motors, PLC driven machines, IOs.

  • Experience in mechanical a plus.

  • Ability to read and understand instructional and electrical drawings.

  • Hands-on knowledge of processing and packaging equipment.

  • The ability to prepare and perform electrical preventive maintenance plans as well as to troubleshoot and repair processing and packaging equipment.

  • Follow LOTO procedures at all times

  • Inspect, operate or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.

  • Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors or belts

  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals or parts catalogs as necessary.

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by preparing and completing preventive and planned maintenance plans on processing and packaging machines and troubleshooting malfunctions.

  • Proactive approach by solving problem, take a lead in problem shooting and improvement activities.

  • Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.

  • Maintain constant communication with Plant Management regarding any maintenance issues that may arise so that Plant Management can adjust their production schedule accordingly.

  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations.

  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible journey level industrial electrical experience

  • Computer skills, Email, Word CMMS

  • Knowledgeable in reading blue prints and schematic designs.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

MA Journeyman license
