Sevita Mental Health Clinician in New Bedford, Massachusetts

Mentor South Bay , provides Early Intervention, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Behavioral Health and Mental Health Outpatient services across Massachusetts and Connecticut. New Hire Bonus $3000

Starting at $55k/year unlicensed with a quarterly productivity bonus of $500-4000/quarter and starting at $60k/year licensed with a quarterly productivity bonus of $1000-6000/quarter.

Previously South Bay Community Services, MENTOR South Bay, a member of the Sevita family, is a community-based, behavioral health care organization offering a continuum of services including adult behavioral health, substance abuse counseling, children’s behavioral health and autism services.

Mental Health Clinician

Share your passion, commitment, and clinical skills with a dynamic team! Our Clinicians provide mental health, behavioral, and/or substance use services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. We provide community based services both in the home and in our office, with the option for telehealth based on individual needs.

  • Conduct client intake sessions

  • Provide crisis intervention

  • Collaborate with community resources

  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to present cases for proper treatment

    This position serves clients in Fall River and surrounding areas including Acushnet, Assonet, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Freetown, N, Dartmouth, New Bedford, Somerset, Swansea and Westport.

    Qualifications:

  • LCSW, Master Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology or related graduate degree

  • Must have completed a full-time clinical internship in a mental health setting

  • Must be license eligible by State

  • A valid driver’s license in good standing and a reliable vehicle is required

  • Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quickly

  • A good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
