Town of Falmouth Administrative Assistant in Falmouth, Massachusetts

The Town of Falmouth seeks a highly motivated administrative professional to be our full-time Administrative Assistant to Human Resources. The successful candidate has meticulous attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. This is a full-time position with benefits that works on-site 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The Administrative Assistant is a key member of our Human Resources team. This position is responsible for the administrative and clerical support for the Human Resources Department and works closely with candidates, new hires, and employees. Duties include but are not limited to: serving as the first point of contact for the department by greeting, assisting, and/or referring in-person visitors and callers; providing support for all aspects of recruitment; ensuring that all new employee onboarding is accurately completed and processed; processing and entering Town-wide payroll changes; maintaining department files and supplies; compiling and composing routine to complex reports; maintaining Town-wide attendance records; and working on special projects. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and three years of administrative and customer service experience in a professional office setting. Human resource experience is preferred but not required. In addition to having impeccable attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and strong administrative skills, the ideal candidate has a high degree of professionalism, is tech savvy, and takes initiative but knows when to ask questions. Expected Starting Range: Step 1 (\$28.60/hour) - Step 4 (\$31.62/hour), commensurate with qualifications and experience, with room to grow along the 10-step pay scale. Comprehensive benefits package.
