Under supervision, provide behavioral health treatment to clients through individual, family, couples, and/or group psychotherapy as part of the learning experience at an eligible graduate school.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide direct psychotherapy to clients in a manner commensurate with their needs and industry best practice standards.

  • Observe the provision of psychotherapy and other work duties by clinic staff.

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, families, care providers, and other stakeholders to facilitate high quality communication, support, and coordination of care.

  • Actively participate in all scheduled team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.

  • Maintain client records in accordance with quality standards; complete clinical documentation including comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

  • Work proactively with billing personnel to secure payor authorizations.

  • Identify when urgent mental health needs are present and assist with the interventions and referrals necessary to successfully manage client crisis situations.

  • Participate in MOC’s utilization review and quality assurance activities, as assigned.

  • Adhere to all applicable regulatory, accreditation, and professional ethics standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active enrollment in an accredited graduate school program for clinical social work, mental health counseling, clinical psychology, or a related discipline.

  • Eligibility for hire upon graduation.

  • Intermediate knowledge and/or experience related to working with a range of clinical presentations and client populations.

  • Ability to work both in the office and also remotely from home.

  • Strong computer skills including an ability to host telehealth sessions and use electronic health records.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Able to work both independently and in a team setting.
