Position Overview: The Elementary School Assistant Principal at Foxborough Regional Charter School will assist the Principal in ensuring the smooth operation of the school while upholding the school's mission and values. The Assistant Principal will work collaboratively to provide a safe, productive, and effective learning environment for students and staff. As a regional school, the school is a suburban school with an urban feel serving a racially and culturally diverse student body. Essential Responsibilties: Instructional Leadership: Support the Principal in developing and implementing the instructional vision of the school, emphasizing culturally responsive teaching practices. Assist in monitoring, evaluating, and providing feedback to teachers to improve instructional quality. Facilitate professional development programs for faculty and staff, focusing on urban education challenges and opportunities Student Achievement & Support: Assist in analyzing student performance data to guide instructional strategies. Oversee student support services, including special education, counseling, and intervention programs. Collaborate with staff to implement and monitor effective intervention strategies tailored to the needs of students from a variety of cultures. School Culture & Climate: Promote a positive school culture that is inclusive and aligned with the school's mission and values. Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment. Lead initiatives that foster social-emotional learning, restorative practices, and student well-being. Family & Community Engagement: Strengthen partnerships with parents, families, and the community. Coordinate family engagement activities and improve communication between the school and families, acknowledging diverse cultural backgrounds. Collaborate with community organizations to support student success. Operational Management: Assist in the development and implementation of school policies and procedures. Support the Principal in managing school resources, including staffing, scheduling, and budgets. Oversee school operations in the Principal's absence. Other Responibilities: Represent the school in district or state meetings when required. Assist in district efforts to recruit students. Participate in special projects as assigned by the principal. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Adequate visual and auditory acuity to supervise students and staff. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Education or related field. Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching or administrative experience. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in educational leadership or a related Valid Massachusetts administrative licensure.
