Eliot Community Human Services Brain Injury Clinical Program Manager in Framingham, Massachusetts

Description

Eliot's residential network of services supporting individuals with brain injuries and developmental disabilities is seeking a Program Manager of Residential Services. The ideal candidate will have one year of experience supervising residential staff and at least 3 years of experience working with individuals with brain injuries and/or developmental disabilities. Working on a team that provides integrated residential services is a must.

Eliot's Developmental Disabilities Division is an individual-centered continuum of services that provides innovative and high-quality programming to adults with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the day to day operation and overall service delivery of assigned residential program.

  • Coordinate and oversee all case management related services for consumers in the program. This includes assisting consumers with managing income, insurance, other entitlements, accessing other services and community resources and scheduling/coordination of all medical and psychiatric appointments.

  • Promote hope, empowerment, and recovery in all aspects of care. Empower consumers to exercise autonomy in all aspects of their life. Assist consumers with identifying choices and developing skills in self advocacy. Model professional behavior for staff.

  • Provide clinical guidance and support in developing interventions and supervision of direct care staff.

  • Teach and model clinical interventions as part of supervision to assist staff members in providing interventions.

  • In collaboration with the consumer and staff members, oversee the development of a strengths based treatment plan for each consumer and complete required assessments.

  • Provide supervision to staff in working with consumers and other providers, where applicable, to ensure that the treatment plan is consumer centered and fully inclusive of the consumer’s preferences. Ensure that treatment goals are realistic, attainable and embrace recovery and rehabilitation.

  • Provide supervision to staff to ensure that each staff member is actively engaging consumers in their treatment plan interventions and life goals. Oversee staff members overall adherence to clinical interventions, cultural preferences and guide staff in specific Evidence Based Practices.

    Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field or with 2 years experience or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of corresponding clinical experience and managerial experience.

  • Experience must relate to working with people with severe and persistent mental illness and/or brain injury and at least one years of supervisory experience.

  • May require additional or specialized training with specialized populations such as co-occurring disorder, DBT, substance use, and other Evidence Based Practices.

  • Must have a strong commitment to recovery and enhancing the quality of life of consumers.

  • Must have the skills to establish supportive relationships with adults with mental health, substance use and brain injury who may be homeless, may have significant legal issues, may be transitional age, may be elders, may have problematic sexual behaviors, may have histories of violence, may not be taking medication and may be in crisis.

    Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm (40hrs)
