State of Massachusetts Clinical Director in Framingham, Massachusetts
The Middlesex West Area Office of the Department of Developmental Services is seeking a LICSW, Social Worker for the position of Clinical Director in the Framingham Area Office. The area office covers Framingham and 12 surrounding towns; serving over 1,400 adults and children with developmental disabilities and those eligible under the Autism Spectrum Disorder. There are over 30 different providers contracted with the Middlesex West Area Office.
The Clinical Director will oversee all facets of Risk at the Area Level. The Clinical Director will be responsible for the following tasks: the RISK management process, expanded case conferences, the DPPC process, Complaint Resolution Management, Service Coordinator Site visits, Family Citizen Monitoring visits, Trigger reports and oversee HCSIS Incident management systems. Lastly, the Clinical Director will oversee the guardianship process and clinical contracts at the Area Level.
The Clinical Director will facilitate and mediate multi-disciplinary meetings comprised of various invested stake holders which may include: families, agencies, hospitals, forensic teams, Service Coordinators, and other involved parties. The Clinical Director will be the liaison for community support agencies involved in crisis management. They will consult with clinicians and Service Coordinators regarding behavior plans and Positive Behavioral Supports.
The Clinical Director will supervise the Administrative support team in developing and supporting area systems that track the necessary data required for the effective running of the Area Office. They will assist in supervising office personnel who are on track to receive their LICSW.
The Clinical Director is a part of the Senior Staff at the Area Office; as a result, they are part of the MASSCAP team and are responsible for clinical assessments as they relate to risk and placement planning. They are the Intake and Eligibility Liaison and the OQE Survey and Certification process liaison
Schedule: 1st shift
Days Off: Saturday and Sunday
Interested applicants should be flexible in schedule as there may be occasional nights and weekend meetings with individuals, guardians, families and other agencies. Driving will be part of this assignment.
A criminal background check (CORI) will be completed on the recommended candidate as required by the regulations set forth by the Executive Office of Health and Human Services prior to the candidate being hired. MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE:
At least three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience as a clinical social worker after earning a Master's degree in social work. Based on assignment to second-level supervisory positions, at least one year of experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.
A Doctorate in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, counseling education, or human services may be substituted for the required nonsupervisory experience on the basis of two years of education for one year of experience.
No substitution will be permitted for the required supervisory experience. One year of education equals 30 semester hours. Education toward a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
A Master's or higher degree in social work is required.
Licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Social Work is required.
Based on assignment, travel may be required. Those employees who elect to use a motor vehicle for travel must have a current and valid Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operator's license or the equivalent from another state.
