Eliot Community Human Services Juvenile Justice Division Director in Framingham, Massachusetts

Description

Eliot's Division of Children, Youth and Family is seeking an Juvenile Justice Division Director. This Division supports children referred by the Department of Youth Services. Our ideal candidate will have experience managing systems of care for court involved youth. As well as a history of implementing and monitoring evidence-based treatment through trauma informed care and interventions.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, create, implement and monitor program development for the Juvenile Justice Division.

  • Oversee start up for youth programs including siting, hiring and training staff, preparing and furnishing the facility, coordinating intake of clients, developing systems for supervision and monitoring, developing policies, procedures and protocols for operations, coordinating and implementing all programming.

  • Serve as point person in absence of Service Director.

  • Provide weekly supervision to Service Directors, yearly performance evaluations and discipline. Create, implement and monitor individual development plans for Service Directors

  • Facilitate monthly Division meetings.

  • Develop, oversee and monitor annual budgets for each site.

  • Serve as liaison between Juvenile Justice programs, state and licensing agencies, community providers and ECHS administration and individual field programs.

  • Ensure the implementation of, and fidelity to, the models of care including ARC, PYD, DBT and TIC.

  • Oversee and support quality improvement process, licensing and other quality or monitoring functions.

  • Create systems to gather and analyze data related to quality programming including satisfaction surveys and model of care pre and post tests.

  • Ensure compliance with all reporting and recordkeeping and documentation requirements

  • Write and submit proposals in response to new and existing programs.

  • Serve as member of HOPES and Restraint Committees, Restraint Debriefing Team and CYF Leadership Team.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and a minimum of ten years experience, at least six years in a supervisory, management and administrative capacity.

  • Licensed or license eligible.

  • Knowledge of DYS, juvenile justice, youth services and child welfare.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience in program and staff development, program monitoring and training.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with funding and licensing sources, community groups, service providers and ECHS staff.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Physical and Mental Demands: Frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching and lifting to carry out job responsibilities. Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle as needed. Ability to work a flexible work schedule contingent upon needs. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with periods of high stress. Ability to physically carry out Crisis Prevention Intervention techniques.

Salary: $115,00 annual salary.

Schedule: Monday- Friday, full time 40 hours per week.
