Staples Manager, Promo Strategy & Analytics in Framingham, Massachusetts

We utilize online merchandising and campaigns executed by both humans and automated tools to convert new and returning website visitors into customers. What you’ll be doing:

  • Leverage fact-based data insights and business acumen to assess upcoming promotional plans and recommend changes as needed. To do so, you will:

  • Analyze sales and profitability at both a business unit and category level and identify drivers of performance.

  • Determine the incremental impact of coupons and SKU level promotions and recommend follow-up actions.

  • Review engagement metrics for site and marketing vehicles to assess the impact of specific banners and placements.

  • Partner with the Site Merchant teams to provide a holistic view of weekly performance across financial and site KPIs.

  • Build and maintain data models to analyze past performance, conduct “what if” scenario analysis and develop future forecasts.

  • Summarize learnings and recommendations through concise verbal and written communications to senior leadership.

  • Represent the Promotions Team on cross-functional task forces including Back-to-School and Black Friday/Cyber Monday planning.

  • Provide leadership and additional support to the Promotions team through ad-hoc analytics & project management.

  • Serve as the team’s point-of-contact with other analytics and reporting teams within the organization to understand data availability, identify best practices and share findings.

What you bring to the table:

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong organizational/project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task

  • Works effectively with cross functional partners with competing interests

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including ability to build flexible financial models. Proficiency with other Office programs also required.

  • Proven ability to ramp on different tools & systems.

  • Experience with leading meetings and making presentations to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of work experience in Ecommerce or Merchandising

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree preferred.
