Hourly Pay:

$30 per hour plus shift and weekend differentials for RN’s with two years of experience in long term care $27 per hour plus shift and weekend differentials for LPN’s with two years of experience in long term care Job Summary:

The licensed nurse provides direct care to the residents and is responsible for the accurate and timely distribution of medications. Overall responsibility of the unit is assumed in the absence of the charge nurse.

Job Responsibilities:

Integrate values of Carmelite Philosophy of Care in all job assignments Respond to all staff, family members and residents in a courteous, patient and caring manner Respect the dignity of each person Communicate in a positive, caring, and helpful manner with residents, family members, and other staff. Knowledgeably and completely perform basic nursing skills according to Federal and State regulations and Company policy using Point Click Care electronic health software Prepare, administer, and document medications following accepted nursing standards per physician’s orders Order medications as necessary Review and revise resident care plans as necessary and as required by regulations Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to charge nurse Obtain report from nurse he/she is relieving and record sufficient information to implement appropriate follow-up action as necessary Provide report to nurse coming on duty, including sufficient information for follow-up action if necessary Listen to resident, family, or physician concerns and initiate corrective action and/or report concerns to Charge Nurse Observe, evaluate and document all changes in the residents’ conditions Notify physician, when necessary, of changes in the residents’ condition, weight, medication errors, medications not available, abnormal laboratory/X-ray results and other unusual observations Observe infection control procedures Identify safety hazards, initiate immediate “life saving” measures in the absence of a physician Provide clinical supervision of nursing assistants providing direct resident care Counsel nursing assistants and recommend disciplinary action, when necessary, to the charge nurse Education/Experience:
