    What you’ll do

    The Corporate Solution Delivery organization leads the evolving software and systems at TJX for Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Collaboration, and Analytics. We chase the big, strategic initiatives enabling TJX to make faster, smarter decisions every day.

    We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Product Owner within the Human Capital Management Product team to support the growing needs of global HR and Payroll business functions. You will support agile delivery of business value aligned with IT and Business strategy while building strong stakeholder relationships.

    Using knowledge of industry best practice and IT delivery leadership skills, you will help deliver solutions working in a fast-paced environment which will challenge you to think creatively and exhibit an agile mindset.

  • Responsible for grooming and prioritizing the team’s backlog and defining User Stories

  • Analyze complex cross functional business processes and define integrated user stories using industry standard techniques; apply modified approaches and techniques to meet different circumstances

  • May have responsibility for some technical/configuration work on third party product solutions

  • Act as customer proxy and work with Product Management and other POs to prepare for the Team Increment Planning and support delivery

  • Take direction from Product Manager on Feature prioritization

  • Refine the team backlog and ensure its visibility to stakeholders in order to prioritize user stories

  • Display a strong understanding of targeted business operations and assist in the analysis of related business processes

  • Attend relevant Product Management meetings about planning and backlog/Vision refinement

  • Play a key role in producing the System Demo for program and Value Stream holders

  • Drive iteration goals and iteration content via prioritized team backlog

  • Drive the story elaboration process for the Team, and ensures there is always a minimum of 4-6 sprints worth of ready stories in the backlog

  • Participate in the development of story acceptance criteria

  • Display an engineering mind-set and systems thinking while understanding the economic view

    What you’ll need

  • Relevant undergraduate BA, BS degree in IT or Business or equivalent experience.

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) preferred

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in an agile delivery framework, strategy or requirement development or Product Owner role

  • Business Analysis experience across multiple projects in at least 3 full project lifecycles, including one complex project

  • Can clearly demonstrate delivering artifacts for each project phase, and link the business value created with the process improvement

  • Strong Agile leadership and methodology experience (Portfolio- SAFe preferred)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Good understanding of the HR and Payroll business processes and systems

  • Strong critical thinking skills

    Preferred qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of solution delivery lifecycle, including project management, business requirements, application development, testing, technologies/platforms, frameworks, and methodologies

  • Evidence of having strong, collaborative relationships with Customers, Product Managers, Epics Owners.

  • Understanding of Epic/Feature refinement, story point estimation process

  • Experience with HR and Payroll ERP systems
