Description:

• Th eSpecimen processor will receive samples, open boxes, organize workspace. The Specimen Processor will enter all patient demographic and testing information into LIS system, label all samples for testing, and run automated aliquoting equipment. Specimen processors will check samples and requisition forms for adequacy and flag any discrepancies or issues.

• Perform Sample Prep

• Patient data entry into LIS system

• Running automated equipment and incubators

• Accurate labeling of patient samples

• Following daily decontamination protocol

• Handling problem resolution upon receipt of information from the Customer Care team

• Organizing and restocking of all lab supplies

Hours: Tuesday-Saturday 9:30am-6:00pm .

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High School diploma

• Attention to detail

• Ability to accurately follow and remember written instructions

• Ability to type 45 WPM

• Computer literacy and typing accuracy

• Ability to communicate and work effectively with a team

• Ability to change and move in a fast-paced environment

• Comply with all safety guidelines

• Apply learned concepts to troubleshoot novel situations

• Initiative to prioritize patient care always
