Join our Staples Enterprise Backup and Storage team and deliver secure and reliable backups along with robust enterprise class storage.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Senior Backup and Storage Administrator you will maintain the current environments as well as provide your expertise to evaluate the current environment and introduce any necessary optimizations. This position will report to the Sr. Manager for Enterprise Backups and Storage. The candidate will have a proven track record of keeping systems up to date and maintaining a state of high availability. The candidate must be able to work with different business groups, both on and offshore. Candidate should be well versed in block and NAS storage technologies along with Veritas Netbackup.

What you bring to the table:

• In-depth knowledge of various storage vendors and solutions such as DellEMC, NetApp, Pure Storage, etc.

• Experience in configuring, supporting, and optimizing block and NAS storage.

• Experience in configuring, supporting, and optimizing Veritas Netbackup

• Ability to work across multiple teams to meet their needs.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in storage administration

• 8+ years of experience in backup and recovery administration

• Experience with delivering storage to VMware and physical infrastructure (HP, Dell, Cisco UCS)

• Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.

• Excellent organizational, communication and documentation skills

• Be an escalation point on backup and storage issues.

• Perform diagnosis, troubleshoot, and conduct root-cause analysis for any issues escalated on the storage and backup platforms.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Linux, Windows, AIX and VMware

• Experience with SAN fabric technologies.

• Experience with backups and storage in public clouds such as Azure, AWS, Google, etc.

• Experience with Veritas Flex 53XX series appliances.
