Location/Division Specific Information

Located onsite in Franklin, MA, the Quality Engineer, III will join to support our Chemical Analysis Division (CAD).

A day in the Life:

  • Hands-on implementation in Quality Assurance/Control

  • Auditing (Internal, External, Supplier)

  • CAPA ownership and mentoring for all business partners

  • Providing support in the creation and monitoring of Nonconformances

  • Completion of Complaint Investigations and trending

  • Participation on New Product Introduction teams to provide feedback relating the product quality and compliance and the quality management system.

  • Use Thermo Fisher Scientific's PPI Business System to drive efficiency and continuous improvement across the Quality function.

  • Continuously participate in supplier qualification and monitory supplier quality.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • B.S. in engineering; advanced degree a plus.

Experience

  • Demonstrated ability (5 years) in Quality Engineering.

  • Experience working with multiple projects and focus areas.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Six Sigma or Lean Training and or Certification preferred.

  • Experience with ISO 9001-2015, 13485 and ISO 14971 preferred

  • ASQ Quality Engineer certified preferred.

  • Must be a proactive problem-solver with an understanding of problem-solving tools.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to move around a manufacturing setting with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements including but not limited to: safety glasses protection and closed toed steel footwear.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs unaided.
