Kelly Services in partnership with a global producer of packaging solutions, is seeking a Junior Production Planner . The Junior Planner plays a vital role in daily planning and driving production with maximum productivity. This position ensures timely delivery of customer orders by overseeing the production process, coordinating machine operations, and monitoring worker activities. The Junior Planner also provides lead times for new orders, forecasts and issues purchase orders for raw materials, and collaborates with planning and sales teams to address potential delivery delays.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide lead times for new orders received.

  • Compile daily planning, optimizing productivity and scheduling production phases.

  • Utilize ERP system to create production orders.

  • Provide weekly updates on the expected readiness date for ongoing production.

  • Identify potential delivery problems and collaborate with planning and sales teams to find solutions.

  • Coordinate with the planning team and Operations to address machine or personnel issues.

  • Input production specifications, quality requirements, and customer orders.

  • Support logistics by loading received base paper into the system.

  • Assist in creating articles on the ERP system.

  • Analyze production needs to generate purchase forecasts.

  • Create and manage call-off/purchase orders for raw materials based on production requirements.

  • Utilize ERP system to create purchase orders and communicate with suppliers regarding forecasts and raw material arrivals.

  • Use Excel, including Pivot tables, for daily tasks such as inventory checks and sales order progress.

  • Analyze inventory, purchase, and sales data to inform S&OP strategies.

  • Maintain inventory levels (RM/WIP/FP) within target and provide explanations for any deviations.

  • Collaborate closely with other departments, including quality and CSA.

  • Maintain a customer-driven approach and work well under pressure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of planning or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the paper or packaging industry.

  • Highly organized with excellent multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.

  • Experience in creating and tracking KPIs.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Pivot Tables in Excel.

  • Experience with an ERP or MRP system, preferably Microsoft AX.
